FAQ

The design challenge that led to the intelligent first aid kit was how to take the familiar plastic box with a number of unrelated supplies and little or no instructions and make it user friendly. Even those with little or no first aid training need to feel confident to respond when someone, like their child, is hurt. We knew it had to be organized, it had to be simple to understand and it had to be complete. Along with medical experts, we identified the most common injuries, at home, at work and at play. We then prepackaged the right supplies along with the right written and picture instructions, knowing that in a life threatening situation, you don’t have time to search while panic & stress make it difficult to think. Every pack was given a unique color band and identifying icon, a common tool used by educational experts, making it easy to choose the right one.

We still weren’t satisfied so we took the design a step further and added audio guidance to talk you through managing the injury, step by step. Embedded into each instruction card is an audio chip.  By simply squeezing a button to activate the audio, a calm clear voice coaches you through the proper first aid steps, pausing and repeating when necessary for accurate response.

All this adds up to what we call functional intelligence™. Design is critical to the function of a first aid kit and our customers think we nailed it.
